About Chris Stevens

Chris Stevens is an American classical guitarist who developed a deep passion for music at an early age, which led him to pursue higher education in this field. In 2015, Chris earned his Bachelor of the Arts with honors in Music, specializing in Guitar Performance from Lewis & Clark College in Portland, Oregon. During his studies, he worked directly with critically acclaimed guitarist, John Mery, to develop his skills and repertoire in classical guitar. He performed numerous recitals and ensembles which included new music from contemporary composers Bryan Johanson and Alex G. Koehler.

Upon completing his studies, Chris embarked on a musical journey that took him throughout the United States. His love for classical guitar and the rich diversity its musical catalog inspired him to share his passion and knowledge with others. He became an accomplished performer, paving musical trails across various states including Oregon, Washington, Michigan, Colorado, Florida, and Texas.

Chris's repertoire spans beyond the traditional realm of classical music. He holds a deep admiration for Latin American and Baroque styles of guitar playing. With every performance, he tastefully blends these captivating genres, leaving audiences enchanted by the rich musical history that resonates from his instrument.

In addition to his successful performing career, Chris also dedicates time to teaching and sharing his expertise with others. His commitment to passing on the traditions of classical guitar has inspired many young musicians to explore their own passion for music. Through workshops and private lessons, Chris continues to impact the lives of his students, fueling their love for music and expanding the reach of classical guitar throughout the United States.
